CHINAPLAS 2026 International Rubber & Plastic Exhibition Opens in Shanghai!

The exhibition reached a new record scale, with a total exhibition area exceeding 390,000 square meters across 16 halls and full venue accessibility. It brought together over 5,000 high-quality exhibitors from both domestic and international markets-a 11% increase compared to the 2024 Shanghai Exhibition-fully demonstrating the industry's robust resilience and dynamic growth potential.
The current international landscape is rapidly evolving. Affected by the Middle East situation, plastic raw material prices have experienced significant fluctuations, making the stability and resilience of industrial and supply chains a central concern for global industries.
As the world's leading event in the plastics and rubber industry, this exhibition will run for four days (April 21–24), closely adhering to the theme "Transformation, Collaboration, and Jointly Shaping Sustainability." It focuses on four core areas: "Circular Economy," "Digitalization," "Innovative Materials," and "Advanced Technology and China Manufacturing," showcasing global intelligent, green, and cutting-edge innovative achievements. The event aims to inject certainty into the volatile global market and guide the high-quality development of the plastics and rubber industry.
At the exhibition, over 3,800 mechanical exhibits were showcased through dynamic demonstrations, with more than 1,900 raw material suppliers competing on the same stage. Over 350 exhibitors presented globally/Asia-first technologies, collectively painting a new vision for the rubber and plastics industry-characterized by "intelligence, sustainability, and cutting-edge innovation" -and driving high-quality industry development.
The exhibition's quality has seen a simultaneous leap forward, featuring leadership from Fortune Global 500 and China Top 500 enterprises that demonstrate benchmarking strength, alongside over 1,000 "specialized, refined, unique, and innovative" (SRUI) enterprises-nearly 200 of which are national-level "Little Giant" enterprises. These entities fully unleash their innovative vitality, setting a record for the largest concentration of SRUI enterprises at the exhibition and highlighting the robust capabilities of "high-end technology and China manufacturing."
At the exhibition, intelligent technologies moved beyond mere theoretical discussions; they were directly implemented in production lines, significantly boosting productivity, enhancing product precision and quality, reducing energy consumption, and helping companies overcome the challenge of shrinking profits.
At this exhibition, cutting-edge solutions-including fully automated intelligent injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding production lines; an industrial IoT-powered digital management system; an AI-driven real-time quality and energy monitoring platform; and miniaturized injection molding systems with collaborative robots-were showcased collectively. These innovations vividly demonstrated Rubber & Plastic Technology's latest achievements in transitioning from "automation" to "intelligence," drawing numerous visitors to stop and observe.
During the exhibition, the "Power of Plastic Forum" -organized by the German Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association (VDMA) and fully supported by Yashi Exhibition Services Co., Ltd.-made its Asian debut. Centered on the theme "Environmental Protection, Intelligence, and Responsibility," the forum brought together leading German and European plastic industry suppliers and technical experts. It showcased a comprehensive roadmap spanning from breakthrough recycling technologies and high-value processing of recycled materials to industry transformations driven by digitalization and AI, empowering the sector to achieve systematic upgrades.
Under global spotlight, the "CHINAPLAS 2026 International Rubber & Plastic Exhibition" has officially commenced from April 21 to 24 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Hongqiao), Shanghai, inviting global rubber and plastic industry professionals to join this grand celebration of technology and innovation!
